On Friday, January 23rd, WASHS hosted "Pack the House" Night. Our Boys and Girls Varsity Basketball teams welcomed the Shippensburg Greyhounds for a well attended community event.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, January 28, 2026, the Waynesboro Area School District will operate on a 2-hour delay due to snow and icy road conditions in the more mountainous areas of our district. Just a reminder to parents/guardians, we do not serve breakfast when WASD schools are delayed. Thank you very much, and have a great evening.

Waynesboro Area School District is proud to participate in the @GIANT Feeding School Kids campaign! From January 1 – March 31, you can round up at the register to support our district’s efforts to eliminate childhood hunger. Through this campaign, WASD can use funds to:

• Support school meal programs
• Expand food distribution programs
• Create on-campus food pantries and gardens
• Provide additional weekend meals
• Eliminate outstanding student meal debt

Waynesboro Mayor Dade Royer and Greencastle Mayor Ben Thomas threw down the football challenge for the WASHS and GA game Friday, August 22nd.

Thanks to a Boro win, Mr. Thomas will be wearing the winning team’s school attire at the next council meeting!
