Today, Thursday, February 6, 2025 the Waynesboro Area School District will be closed and operating on a FID (virtual learning day).
Learners and families should follow the schedules provided by the building principals. The secondary instructional day will begin at 8:30 and the elementary instructional day will begin at 9:00 with the assigned grade level Related Arts rotation.

In anticipation of inclement weather tomorrow, WASD will be operating on a 2 hour delay Tomorrow, Thursday, February 6, 2025. All learners will be bringing their Chromebooks home. If the 2 hour delay needs to be adjusted to a school closing, this announcement will be made via a BORO blast no later than 7:00 AM. If WASD is closed, we will be operating on a FID (virtual learning day).
Waynesboro Area School District Kindergarten Orientation Kindergarten will be held at at Individual Elementary Buildings this coming Tuesday, February 4TH, 6:00-7:00 PM. Doors open at 5:45 PM. You and your child get to meet the Kindergarten teachers, see the Kindergarten classrooms and learn all about the online Kindergarten Registration process! WASD will now be in session on February 17, March 17, and April 17, 2025 to make up the snow days in January. Moving forward, we will be using FID (on-line) instruction with our learners K-12 and building principals will be sharing information.

From January 1 – March 31, you can ROUND UP at the register to support our school
district’s efforts working to eliminate childhood hunger. Through this initiative, WASDS and other public school districts can use
funds to support meal programs to expand food distribution programs, create on-campus food pantries and gardens, supply extra weekend meals, and eliminate outstanding student meal debt.
