Under the leadership of our district's Pre-K Coordinator, Mrs. Nemzek, learners in Mrs. Garofalo's and Mrs. Cook's kindergarten classes have been participating in a social and emotional program based on the TV show Mr. Rogers. This program is available to us through St. Vincent College's Fred Rogers Center for Early Learning. Recently, Mrs. Cook's learners talked about feelings... what they are, feeling words and appropriate ways to react to their feelings. Today’s lesson was all about “our shine” and how we can grow our own shine as well as help others grow their’s.
