The Waynesboro Area School District will be implementing a staggered start for the start of the 2023-2024 school year to help ease the transition to kindergarten.
We would like to wish this group of former Summitview students and the rest of the Class of 2023 the very best!
We hope all of our students and their families have a great summer! We wish our 5th graders the best and we hope to see everyone else in August!

Our (FREE) SV PTO FAMILY MOVIE starts tonight at 8:45 PM. SV families can begin arriving at 8 PM. Please feel free to bring blankets, chairs, and your own snacks to the movie. We will be watching the movie on the field behind the school. We are asking all families to park in our large parking lot or in the field next to the large parking lot (across from the YMCA). We are going to be collecting tickets near the shed in the corner of our parking lot. All students were recently given 4 tickets. If you need additional tickets, please email Steve Pappas at steve_pappas@wasdpa.org and he can make sure your child brings them home this afternoon. It is going to be in the 60s this evening so please come prepared. We hope to see you there!
Tomorrow is Beach Day at SV!
Tomorrow night we are having our PTO Family Movie Night at 8:45 PM. Families can start arriving at 8 PM. Please bring your tickets to the event. Families can park in the parking lots and on the field across from the YMCA (next to our large parking lot).
Due to the preparation for the Class of 2023 graduation, the Buchanan Auto
Park Stadium at WASHS will be closed to the public beginning Friday, May 26th at 7:30 am until 5:00 am on June 3rd. Thank you!
Our 23-24 K students are on a shark hunt tonight. I don't think they looked in the kitchen...Hopefully, they find him before the students come to school tomorrow!!!
Fifth grade families it looks like the kids might be home a little earlier than expected. The estimated time of arrival could be somewhere closer to 6:15.
Fifth grade families, this is just a reminder that if your child went on the field trip today, please try to be at the school by 630 this evening to pick them up. Thank you.
Our fourth and fifth graders put our motto into practice this week by partnering with Mainstreet Waynesboro. They did a great job cleaning up!

The chickens are getting bigger and we are starting to work on building Summitview Farms!!!
Yesterday, our 5th-graders celebrated their last year of elementary school by going to a York Revolution game. They did a great job!!!
We will miss them next year.
Our 3rd-grade classes had a local field trip yesterday. They had a lot of fun and did an amazing job!
