Annual approval of the preliminary budget meets the timeline requirements by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This preliminary budget includes no tax increase. The preliminary budget does not obligate the district to a specific final budget approval amount or tax rate. The preliminary budget will be on display for a minimum of 30 days before the Board can take action on the final budget.
The Board approved the 2021-22 Preliminary budget with revenues at $64,478,395 and expenditures equal to $65,516,599. The preliminary budget has a deficit of $1,038,204. The proposed budget uses $2,071,259 of ESSER II funding.
ESSER is the acronym for Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Act. This is Federal stimulus dollars funded by the American Rescue Plan that represents one-time money passed through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. These funds are non-recurring and can only be utilized for expenditures approved under the Relief Act.
