WASD Community Night

WASD Parent & Community Night

The Waynesboro Area School District will be sponsoring a Parent & Community Night on Thursday, February 19th, 6:30 - 8:30 PM at the WASHS Auditorium. Please consider joining us for a discussion on "Cyber Crime and Sextortion".

Tricia Maciejewski will be a featured speaker representing the "Live Like Levi Foundation".

The Live Like Levi Foundation was established to honor the memory of 13 year old, Levi Maciejewski. On August 20, 2024, the day before he was to start 8th grade, Levi was the victim of a rapidly growing crime known as financial sextortion.

Levi was a one-of-a-kind kid who lived a big life. He was bold, kind and full of spirit! He had a deep love for Christ and profound trust in God. “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” Philippians 4:13 NKJV, was his favorite Bible verse. He proudly wore it on a bracelet around his wrist and had it embroidered into his baseball glove.

Within 24 hours of his tragic death, the phrase “Live Like Levi” became a thing. No one person can take credit for it- it just happened. The mantra blossomed in the wake and began to provide a sense of comfort and hope for the teenagers and adults within the small community of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, who were grieving the unimaginable loss of Levi.

Levi’s trust in God, led to the creation of his foundation. The Foundation will honor Levi’s legacy by modeling and encouraging others to follow the Live Like Levi mantra. The Foundation will strive to share love and kindness by providing scholarships, charitable giving, community support initiatives, and educational resources that benefit individuals and communities. We want to lead with love while paying It forward and doing acts of kindness, just like Levi.
