Due to forecasted inclement weather, Commencement Exercise for the Waynesboro Area Senior High School Class of 2025 will be held in the WASHS Gymnasium and Oyer Auditorium.

Please review the logistical information below and contact the WASHS office with any questions. NOTE: WASHS Office will be closed from 7:45 - 10:00 am on Friday, May 30 for district meetings.
Tickets
Those holding Yellow or White (handicapped) tickets will be seated in the gymnasium.
Those holding Blue tickets will be seated in the auditorium.
Any child that will be in his or her own seat must have a ticket.
Parking
Parking is available at WASHS, WAMS, Summitview Elementary, and Clayton Avenue and anywhere along the Borough Streets near the high school.
Please do not park in the grass.
All traffic will enter via the D-wing entrance and exit through the A-level event entrance.
Handicapped parking (must have placard) is available in the A-level Event Entrance parking lot and in the lower section of the back parking lot. Note that spaces are limited. Some vehicles with handicapped placards may need to drop off members of their group and park elsewhere.
Vehicles may pull into the A-level Event Entrance to drop off attendees; no parking in that area without a handicapped placard.
Entrance
Graduates should enter the building by 5:45 pm via the upper back doors facing the stadium or the courtyard doors. Family members will not be permitted to use this entrance before or after graduation.
A-level doors will open at 5:30 pm for attendees.
Attendees may use the A-level front entrance near the auditorium or the back entrance off of the lower level parking lot. Please note that the back entrance will close promptly at 6:30 pm when the ceremony begins.
The main entrance on B-level will be closed before, during, and after graduation.
Personal Items
Balloons may not be brought into the building.
We expect a full house so we ask that you limit bags and purses to those that will comfortably fit on your lap or under your seat.
Food and drink are not permitted in the auditorium or gymnasium. Water is permitted in clear, plastic bottles with lids.
Please remember that state law prohibits the use of cigarettes, tobacco products, e-cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs on school property for all individuals.
Per ADA guidelines and WASD policy, registered service animals, limited to dogs, are permitted; emotional support animals are not permitted. If you are bringing a service dog, please contact our building secretary (denise_mccleaf@wasdpa.org) so we can seat that individual appropriately.
Other Information
The Commencement Group will be set up in the auditorium lobby to distribute pre-ordered items and also sell flowers and other graduation memorabilia. Only Credit Card Payments will be accepted on site.
Following the ceremony graduates ONLY will process from the gym to the cafeteria to pick up their final paperwork and diploma. After picking up their paperwork, graduates may leave to meet their family. Please coordinate a location to meet your graduate ahead of time!
