The Waynesboro Area School District is now in the process of determining kindergarten enrollment for August 2024. Per WASD Board Policy No. 201 children who have reached the age of five (5) before September 1, 2024, are eligible to begin kindergarten in August 2024. Per WASD Board Policy No. 206, students will attend kindergarten at the school in their attendance zone. If you are unsure of the school in your child’s attendance zone, please check our “WASD Elementary Attendance Zones” or contact Missie Baer in transportation at 717-762-1191 X 1264 to verify.
To make the pre-registration process easier, we are asking that you complete the survey below and fill out the digital pre-registration Google form. It should take no more than 5 minutes to complete and it will help our school buildings determine who we should expect to see at Kindergarten Registration in March and who will be attending school with us this fall. Please note, this is only one step to the registration process and completing this form does not fully enroll your child into school. The digital pre-registration questionnaire will be available to complete until February 26, 2024 at noon.
Once you complete the digital pre-registration questionnaire, your next step will be attending our annual Coming to Kindergarten Orientation. The event will take place on Monday, February 26, 2024 from 6:30 - 7:30 PM at your rising kindergarten student's elementary building. During Kindergarten Orientation, you will have the opportunity to meet the building principal, interact with the kindergarten teachers, learn more about the registration process in March, and more.
