We're All in This Together at Summitview

Good evening Summitview families,

A few information messages:

1. Click HEREfor the November calendar.

2. During Tuesday night’s board meeting, a calendar change for November was approved. Wednesday, November 25 (originally scheduled as an early dismissal) is now a Remote Learning Day. Additional information about this day will be provided closer to the 25th. Please remember that Remote Learning days are school days and learners must log on to their Chromebooks and complete the assigned activities for attendance purposes. These assignments are also graded.

3. We wrap up our two weeks of Spirit Days tomorrow with “Say Boo to Drugs” – learners may wear a costume to school. Please carefully consider the costume your child will wear as it will be worn for the full school day. Can your child sit comfortably? Can your child remove his/her costume independently to use the bathroom? Can your child play at recess in the costume? All learners will need to wear their face covering as usual. Costume masks and face paint are not permitted.

4. A huge “thank you” to the many families that donated items for fall parties tomorrow afternoon and to the PTO volunteers who worked outside to get items sorted for each classroom. Thanks to your generosity we have everything we need (and a few things to spare) so we ask that no additional food be sent to school tomorrow.

5. Don’t forget that Daylight savings time ends this weekend as we “fall back” to standard time.

Thank you for your continued support of our school, staff, and learners. Have a good evening and stay #BoroStrong!
