Here is the text of tonight's BoroBlast Announcement:

First, letters were mailed home last week to all learners currently enrolled in kindergarten through fourth grade to inform families of their child's school assignment for 2020-21 school year as a result of attendance zone redistricting. We are asking for your cooperation in signing and returning these letters to your child's current school as soon as possible. We would like these letters returned, even if your child's school assignment isn't changing. If you did not receive a letter, or if you think there is an error, please contact your child's current school office as soon as possible.

Second, there will be an early dismissal for all students on Tuesday, February 11 at 12:50 pm. Please make sure someone is on time to pick up your child as staff meetings begin at 1:00 pm.

Third, don’t forget to share pictures of your child completing daily kindness challenges using the svsharks@wasdpa.org email address. Some photos will be selected to be featured on Summitview social media pages and learners will win a small prize! The first round of Be Kind t-shirts delivered today. We are taking extra orders for a later delivery date through Wednesday, February 12 so long as we have at least 12 orders. Cost is $8 and extra order forms are available in the office and the Summitview website under “documents.”

Fourth, Friday, February 14 will be the last collection day for Pennies for Patients.

Fifth, our Valentine’s Day parties are this Friday, February 14. If you are planning the party for your child’s class, please make sure that PTO has received a list of parents who will be attending so that volunteers can be pre-registered. Also, please only send in food if you signed up to do so to avoid wasting.

Finally, as a reminder, there is no school for staff and students on Monday, February 17 in observance of President’s Day.
